Onalaska Animal Hospital Welcomes Dr. Jenna Buley, Expands Services to Include Pet Behavior Consulting

ONALASKA, Wisconsin —Onalaska Animal Hospital has expanded its staff, welcoming Jenna Buley, DVM, to its veterinary team. With more than 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine and a focus on animal behavior, Dr. Buley is helping the hospital expand its services to include specialized behavior consulting for pets.

Dr. Buley's interest in caring for animals began in her childhood in Holmen, where she often tended to injured wildlife. After earning dual bachelor's degrees in biology and zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, she built a career rooted in comprehensive care and practical expertise.

Dr. Buley's career has included leadership roles, serving as a clinical instructor at UW-Madison and founding a community-based animal clinic animal clinic that provided accessible care to a wide range of animals. She is also a journal author and presenter at national Interdisciplinary Forum for Applied Animal Behavior (IFAAB) conferences, bringing valuable insight to the scientific community and into her practice.

"Dr. Jenna brings a great combination of experience and specialized skills to our team," said Dr. Nicole Azene, co-owner of Onalaska Animal Hospital. "Her background in behavioral science allows us to better serve pets and their families by addressing challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming. We're excited to offer this new service to promote the human-animal bond and support the well-being of pets in our community."

The hospital's new behavior consulting services are designed to address issues like fear, aggression, separation anxiety, and leash reactivity, among others. Dr. Buley develops customized behavior modification plans based on each pet's unique needs, using positive reinforcement techniques and a compassionate, science-based approach.
